I am a SSHRC Canada Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford and a Non-Stipendiary Research Fellow at Nuffield College. I am also a Research Associate at the Centre for International Studies, Oxford. I was previously a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. I am an economist specializing in public economics and public finance. My interests range from optimal fiscal policy design, social redistribution and public policies that emerge in unions like the EU to questions in health economics, education financing and aid allocation.

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Purdue University. I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2010.
